Don’t get me started on this insanely gorgeous Boston Esplanade engagement session!! There is SO much that I loved about this day with Beth and Alex! This engagement shoot was very authentic to the couple! We did a lot of things that were so special to them which made the day so much more meaningful, and I am so thankful that I could be a part of it!
I loved that Beth and Alex chose the Esplanade in Boston as their engagement shoot location. If you’re from Boston then you know the Esplanade as the best spot to be during the 4th of July concert and fireworks but that’s not the only thing that’s so great about this location! The Boston Esplanade is a huge leafy park that stretches along the Charles River from the Museum of Science to Boston University. It is one of the most gorgeous locations here in Boston during the Fall season! With the visually warm palate of reds, oranges, and browns of all the trees and fallen leaves on the ground it truly is a site to see!
The Boston Esplanade was a special place for both Beth and Alex as this was the exact spot that Alex had proposed to Beth! We started Beth and Alex’s day off at the Esplanade roaming around the park with their cute puppy! Dogs are always such a happy addition to sessions and I always tell my clients that they are more than welcome to bring their fur babies along! The photos at the park may be my favorites from this session as Beth and Alex’s puppy was so precious wearing a dog bandana labeled “My humans are getting married!” And not only were Beth and Alex full of smiles throughout the session so was he.
After taking couple portraits at the Boston Esplanade we headed to the North End, another location close to Beth and Alex’s hearts. This is where Alex had lived for a while and spent a lot of time at whether it was sipping espresso martinis at Bricco Restaurant for a date night or indulging on pizza from Ernesto’s! This was the perfect opportunity to take candids of Beth and Alex just enjoying each other’s company and reliving the moments they’ve shared at these special locations. We also stopped by Cafe Roma to take more portraits of Beth and Alex. I couldn’t help but smile while taking Beth and Alex’s photos as the love they had for each other was so intense. You could tell these places had a lot of meaning to them as there wasn’t a single photo of them not smiling from cheek to cheek.
Shooting Beth and Alex’s Boston Esplanade engagement session was so much fun! What I loved most was that I really felt like I was a part of their story as I got to visit all their favorite places that were special to them as a couple! I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in Newport at Lady of Mercy Chapel Salve Regina next year!
“OMG!!!!! They are absolutely amazing and I can’t believe how perfect they came out! I said this before but you were able to capture us so well! Also, I’ve had SO many people tell me that they are the best engagement photos they’ve ever seen so thank you for being so amazing at what you do!” – Beth
