Deanna and Joey had a magical summer Estate at Moraine Farm wedding earlier this summer! What started as a rainy day turned into a beautiful day for an outdoor ceremony and tented reception on the property. I’m so excited to share more from their absolutely gorgeous and extremely fun wedding day!

Their Love Story

Deanna and Joey met on Hinge! Joey was the first (and last), guy, to ask Deanna on a brunch date instead of “just drinks.” She loved his creativity and thought it was so sweet! Their first date was scheduled for a Sunday in Deanna’s neighborhood. Right from the start, they had an amazing time getting to know each other over brunch drinks. After the date, they walked each other to the subway where they shared their first kiss in the rain under an umbrella. Three years later, Joey proposed on the same street corner where they shared their first kiss. Talk about a fairytale romance!

Getting Ready

It was a very rainy July morning as Deanna and Joey got ready with their wedding parties. We were all worried it would be rainy the whole day, but both the bride and groom were so go with the flow and happy that it didn’t put a damper on anything. Deanna had fun popping champagne with her bridesmaids, and Joey and his groomsmen enjoyed sharing a few beers as they got dressed.

After they finished getting ready, Deanna and Joey shared the sweetest first look! I could see the joy across their faces as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.

We got lucky and the skies literally opened up later in the day just in time for the outdoor wedding ceremony! Deanna was escorted by her mother, and it felt like there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd as guests watched Joey’s precious reaction to her coming down the aisle.

After exchanging their vows, they sealed it with a kiss and exited the ceremony as guests threw flower petals. I captured a few just-married portraits before the couple headed to the breathtaking tent for the reception celebration.

The couple’s reception was very Pinterest-inspired—in all the best ways! The massive outdoor tent made for the perfect garden party aesthetic and the disco balls were a fun touch! They were an ode to the fun that would come later in the reception for sure. I love how the florals brought it all together, and I am so impressed that Deanna and Joey didn’t miss a single detail. They had a champagne tower, a precious homemade cake that they made themselves, and a raging dance floor all night long. Deanna loves trendy photos so I made sure to include a lot of blurry photos and direct flash photos for them. It was truly a dream day!
