Kate and Francis knew immediately that they wanted to have an intimate Cape Cod elopement when they reached out to me and I understood why! No matter how many times you visit Cape Cod you’ll find new ways to fall in love with its scenery, I would recommend it to anyone looking to elope by the beach! Cape cod is a hook-shaped peninsula in Massachusetts surrounded by charming towns and a sandy beach. Thanks to the many things to do around Cape Cod it’s the perfect place to elope!

What you need to know to plan a Cape Cod Elopement

When planning an intimate Cape Cod elopement there are a couple of things you want to think of! From getting your marriage license, choosing where you want to tie the knot, and booking a nearby stay.

Elopement Itinerary

Kate and Francis stayed at a nearby Airbnb but there are plenty of boutique hotels or historical Inns you can stay at on Cape Cod, some Inns even provide Elopement packages! After Kate and Francis got ready at their Airbnb we met up at Nauset Lighthouse for a first look! First looks are one of my favorite moments as you never know how the groom is going to react to the bride. Francis was in awe of Kate; he could not stop smiling and looking at how stunning she was! And oh was she stunning! She was wearing such a gorgeous strapless dress that was perfect for a beach elopement!

Nauset Lighthouse Ceremony

After their first look, we had their elopement ceremony right next to the lighthouse with just the two of them and their officiant, Claire Watts. It was short and sweet but so beautiful! Kate wrote the vows all by herself which made the ceremony even more special for the two of them! You could tell both Kate and Francis were so ecstatic to get married, the entire time they were exchanging vows they couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear.

After their intimate ceremony, we took pictures by the lighthouse and had some champagne and nips that they had brought in the cutest little picnic basket!

Following the ceremony, we headed down to the beach where we caught the most stunning pink sunset that ended in a deep purple red! I was so happy that we were able to capture that magical moment for the two of them. Cape Cod’s beaches are stunning with their endless stretches of sand. Whether you choose to elope at Nauset Light beach or Mayflower Beach you won’t be disappointed!

Capturing Kate and Francis’s intimate Cape Cod elopement was amazing and such a pleasure! They were so sweet and only cared about being in the present moment with one another reveling in their special day.
