A Timeless Newport Elopement at the Newport Beach House | Gianna & Raamah

Newport Rhode Island Wedding Photographer | Genevieve Photography

If you have ever wondered what it looks like to elope in Newport, Rhode Island (with a private estate, all-white florals, your closest family, and your fluffy golden dog in his own little tuxedo), this is the blog post for you.

Gianna and Raamah got married on October 3, 2025, and from start to finish, this day was everything. Intimate, romantic, timeless, and full of so many beautiful little moments that I will be thinking about for a very long time.

What Is a Newport Elopement, Exactly?

So many couples come to me dreaming of something in between– not a full wedding, but not just the two of them at a courthouse either. They want the beauty, the details, and the people who matter most, without the stress of 150 guests and a year of planning.

That is exactly what Gianna and Raamah pulled off.

They rented a stunning Newport estate for the day for getting ready, portraits, and their ceremony. Then they headed to the Newport Beach House for an intimate reception with their family and friends. And in between? Golden hour portraits on the beach with their pup Cash, who, for the record, absolutely stole the show.

This is one of my favorite ways to do a wedding, and Gianna and Raamah are such a perfect example of why. Keep reading, I promise you are going to love this one!

Getting Ready at the Newport Estate

The estate they chose for the day was dreamy. We are talking beautiful botanical wallpaper, wide plank hardwood floors, a dusty rose velvet chaise lounge, chandeliers, and antique furniture throughout. The kind of space that makes every getting ready photo look like it belongs in a magazine.

Gianna got ready surrounded by family, and the energy in the room was pure joy and excitement. She wore the most stunning strapless ball gown with a long cathedral train, pearl drop earrings, and carried the most romantic bouquet by Amber Rose Floral Design — white ranunculus, blush garden roses, soft white peonies, and eucalyptus all tied together in the most timeless, beautiful way.

The First Look (and Introducing Cash!)

Before the ceremony, we did a first look inside the estate and it was one of those moments that just gets you.

Raamah stood waiting in the beautifully lit interior space, and when Gianna came in behind him, the look on his face said everything. Sweet, quiet, so full of love.

And then there was Cash.

Cash is their golden, fluffy doodle and he showed up to his parents’ wedding in his very own little tuxedo vest and bow tie. I am not exaggerating when I say he was one of the best guests there. He was in the portraits, he was in the ceremony, he was everywhere. Lying on the velvet chaise. Trying to climb into Raamah’s lap. Walking around on the lawn in his tiny formal wear. Absolutely perfect.

The Ceremony: On the Estate Steps

For the ceremony, Gianna and Raamah said their vows right on the front steps of the estate. Framed by tall white columns and black doors, with their family gathered around them.

It was intimate. It was beautiful. And yes, Cash wandered through the whole thing like he was officiating.

There was something so special about the scale of it… Just the people who love them most, standing together in a moment that felt quiet and meaningful and completely theirs.

Golden Hour at the Beach

After the ceremony, we headed to the beach for golden hour portraits, and this is where the magic really happened!

Raamah changed into a sage green suit (obsessed), Gianna slipped into a flowy white gown, and we walked down to the water with Cash trotting right alongside them on his leash. The light was that soft, hazy, October golden hour that is absolutely impossible to recreate. Everything just glowed.

They walked. They kissed. They laughed. Cash ran in front of them and tried to get in every single shot. The ocean stretched out behind them, calm and beautiful, and it felt like a dream.

The Reception at the Newport Beach House

After portraits, Gianna and Raamah joined their family and friends at the Newport Beach House. One of Newport’s most beautiful waterfront venues for an intimate reception. Surrounded by the people they love most, they got to celebrate the way they always wanted: no fuss, just pure joy.

The Newport Beach House is the kind of venue that does not need much because the views do all the work. And after such a beautiful day, it was the perfect way to end it.

Why a Newport Elopement Might Be Perfect for You

Gianna and Raamah’s day is honestly one of my favorite examples of how to do an elopement right. They did not sacrifice the beauty or the meaningful moments, they just kept it focused on what mattered most.

If you are dreaming of something like this, Newport is made for it. Private estates, beautiful waterfront venues, gorgeous beaches for golden hour portraits, and that classic New England charm that photographs so incredibly well.

I would love to help you plan something just as beautiful.
