When Erin and Michael reached out to me and told me they loved the ocean and wanted a very beachy wedding with deep sea and blue colors, as they were not only going to have a church wedding but also a tent reception in a Marina parking lot I was especially excited! Erin and Michael booked me for their 2023 wedding as well as their engagement shoot beforehand. As soon as we talked about the ocean vibes they were going for they came up with exactly the perfect place to shoot their beach engagement photos, at Plymouth MA White Horse beach!
White Horse Beach is a village of Plymouth Massachusetts located on Cape Cod Bay. This is one of my favorite beaches here in Massachusetts! Although it can get crowded on really nice sunny days, it’s so wide and spacious that you can still get away from the crowds and find a good spot, especially during sunset, AND it’s perfect for running around in the sand as it has such soft, fine sand. One of my favorite things about White Horse Beach is the meaning behind the name. White Horse Beach has rock walls at each end of the beach and was named after a legend of a woman who rode her white horse into the water when her father would not let her marry the man she was in love with. Although, it’s a sad story it gives me a romantic Romeo and Juliet vibe.
Erin and Michael were the absolute cutest couple, and we can’t forget their precious dog, Cooper! I couldn’t help but smile the whole time I was photographing them frolicking on the beach during sunset! Another great thing about Plymouth MA White Horse Beach is that since it’s so expansive and right on the coastline it’s perfect for beach walking, so we took advantage of the space and no one being around and took a bunch of pictures of Erin, Michael, and Cooper running all around.
Erin and Michael were so easy to photograph, they were meant to be behind the camera! There wasn’t a single photo we captured without them smiling or laughing. These are my kind of photos! Candid and effortless! Cooper was also having the time of his life! He was so rambunctious and made it so fun to have him there! There’s nothing like a puppy running around on the beach so excited, it’s truly the cutest thing, I just LOVE having dogs at weddings and engagements! (P.S. You can always bring your fur babies along for any shoot!)
One thing that stood out to me from Erin and Michael’s White Horse Beach engagement shoot was their outfits! They fit the beach aesthetic perfectly! Erin was wearing a beautiful beige Petal and Pup dress while Michael matched her by wearing a beige long-sleeve and dark jeans. When it comes to beach outfits you always want to make sure to wear colors that aren’t too loud, something that matches the backdrop which usually tends to be a neutral color due to the earthy tones from the sands or rocks surrounding the beach.
It was beyond amazing capturing Erin and Michaels Plymouth MA White Horse Beach engagement as well as their love for one another they were incredibly sweet and kind and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding in 2023!
“Omg, I did not expect them so soon you are the best!!! They are so beautiful!!! You are so amazing!!! I absolutely love them! You are so amazing they are beyond whatever I could have expected! “Wow! They are all so beautiful! Thank you so much! I love all the ones with cooper! You did an amazing job and I can’t thank you enough! Going to be looking at them nonstop tonight!”
